Prepare a clear Vinted listing: a practical checklist
Make a Vinted listing easier to assess with complete photos, precise sizing, an honest condition description and a realistic asking price.
You cannot guarantee a fast sale. You can remove avoidable uncertainty: an unclear first photograph, missing measurements, vague condition or an unrealistic price. Work on those before paying for extra exposure.
Build a listing that answers questions
Start with a full photograph of the item. Follow with the back, labels, texture, fastening and defects. Give the actual labelled size and useful measurements rather than assuming all brands fit alike.
An illustrative title is “Navy cotton cardigan, size M, button front”. An illustrative description is: “Flat width 49 cm, length 61 cm. Light cuff pilling visible in photo 5. All buttons present.” Replace every fact with your own observations. “Beautiful, perfect for everyone” does not tell the buyer what arrives.
Review the buyer’s total decision
Compare your price with similar items in similar condition. Consider the buyer’s displayed delivery and service costs, without assuming they are identical in every market. Be clear about what is included: a belt used for styling must not appear to be part of the sale if it is not.
Keep packaging ready and answer specific questions using a new photo or measurement when needed. Do not promise dispatch dates you cannot meet.
Measure useful changes
Record the listing date, asking price and the change you made. Compare similar time windows. If questions repeatedly concern length, add the measurement; if buyers ask about a mark, add a clearer picture. These are observable problems, unlike guesses about a hidden algorithm.
Use Vinted’s Catalogue Rules, checked 8 October 2026, for current listing requirements. Keep your own unedited photographs. See pricing and low-view diagnosis for the next checks.
